Growing up I was taught to live a very healhy lifestyle. I played lots of sports, ate home cooked meals and learned to live life through the eyes of moderation.
The day our daughter was born, my focus turned and I was determined to live an even more Green lifestyle. In my quest, I wanted a better understanding of what exactly we were eating, breathing and consuming. In order for me to fulfill this prophecy, I would need to find the perfect store that preeched along with me.
….And then I found the perfect boutique right here in my home town of Los Gatos.
Babycoo first opened its doors on Earth Day 2008. What a better way to celebrate its Green image then on a day we celebrate our Earth. Owner, Vania Hendratna, has a background in Food Science and when she had her daughter, she too like many of us, tried searching out green products for her child but only to no avail. It was her passion for understanding how your environment envelopes your child, that she opened her first children’s boutique.
Babycoo offers everything you need to outfit your newborn in style to accessorizing the evolving personality of your toddler. Many of her items are environmentally friendly. Lots and lots of organic cotton onesies, Ts, stuffed toys to BPA Free sippy cups and containers.
A few of the bigger ticket items are strollers (Orbit, Uppa Baby, the new double iCandy to name a few), to the HUSHAMOK basinett swing, to the uber cool designed crib matttress to help prevent SIDS, by Nook Sleep System.
In addition to supporting the organic child, Babycoo also sells products from local designers.
If you are in the area or live a far, be sure to check out Babycoo for all your child’s needs.
In partnership with the iMomReport, Babycoo would like to offer a $30 giftcard to their store for the fabulous reader who posts a comment on “How I changed my life to be more eco-friendly.” Please don’t forget to include your name, email and blog URL, so I can follow you too!
